West Auckland psychedelic renegades the New Existentialists are venturing north to Whangarei for the very fist time. They are playing at the Woodshed on Saturday the 27th of September. Also on the bill is Moppy, the solo project of Thom Burton of Guardian Singles fame.
The New Existentialists:
Formed in West Auckland circa 2012 by songwriting legend George Henderson, and named after one of English philosopher Colin Wilson's primary themes, The New Existentialists could be best described as a mix of “freakbeat, softcore, and austere psychedelia”.
They have released 3 albums and an EP and have another album ‘Bad Astrology’ about to be released by the Austrian label Zelle Records.
