RIO FUNK presents AFROBAILE
The beat doesn’t stop in the city. After Burna Boy lights up Western Springs, Rio Funk takes the night into overdrive with a massive Afrobaile edition. Since 2013, Rio Funk has been the home of baile funk in Aotearoa, a party born from the streets of Rio and raised on the dancefloors of Auckland. A celebration of rhythm, sweat, and community, Rio Funk is where cultures collide and bodies move without limits. AFROBAILE brings together two stages of sound and heat: baile funk & afrobeats.
Brazil and Africa are deeply connected — millions of Brazilians trace their ancestry back to Africa, we share language in countries like Angola, Mozambique and Cape Verde, and our cultures echo each other in food, rhythm, and dance. The sounds born on both sides of the Atlantic still carry that shared soul, uniting us worldwide.

Entry Conditions
No Ticket, No Entry: All guests must present a valid ticket at the door.
R21 Event: This is a strictly 21+ event. ID will be required at entry. No ID, no entry.
Dress Code: The dress code will be enforced. Please respect the guidelines provided — entry may be refused if not followed.
Intoxication Policy: We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable night. Entry will be refused to anyone who arrives intoxicated, and management reserves the right to remove anyone who becomes unsafe or disruptive inside the venue.
Respect First: This is a safe space. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.

Doors open at 10:00pm. Please plan to arrive early to secure your spot inside.
Important for Ticket Holders
We would like to advise all ticket holders to enter the venue by 12:30am. As we cannot hold the door for the whole night and expect a very busy event, admission after this time cannot be guaranteed.
Entry past 1:00am cannot be guaranteed for anyone, so please plan to arrive early.
If you’re coming from AFROSOUL Festival, the festival ends at 10pm — giving you plenty of time to arrive at RIO FUNK.
