The Social Climbers

The Social Climbers are an Auckland based combo playing an assortment of self-penned surf rocky songs. The ‘Climbers’ aim to entertain with a rumbunctious set drawing on a deep well of influences including the Undertones, Elvis Costello and Elliott Smith. The group features Alex Baker on guitar, Micky Foster on drums, David Holmes on vocals and Camryn Nel on bass/guitar. Special guest this evening is Hannah Barber-Wilson on bass.

Frayed Flag
Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, Frayed Flag is a creative DIY collective founded in 2019. They make music that straddles the line between a few styles: generally think “off-kilter, punk-tinged folk” or “folk-tinged punk,” depending on who you ask, delivering emotional and humorous songwriting, personality, and a sound uniquely their own.
Featuring:
· Dom — vocals & guitar
· Liz — vocals & violin
· Anna — vocals & guitar
· Kevin — bass
· Jonny — drums
· Angela — keyboards
Frayed Flag has a growing discography of self-released tracks, including Don’t Look Back Behind You (Dec 2023), Let’s Start a Scene (Aug 2024), and their latest single (Walked Out On) the City Life (Aug 2025).
In April 2025, the band performed with Haiku Redo, Ocean Beach, and Dianne Swann in Auckland’s Ding Dong Lounge and they are excited for this follow-up gig.
Frayed Flag are a vibrant, evolving voice in Auckland’s indie scene, weaving personality, storytelling, and emotive and fun musical expression into their riffs and lyrics.

Matthew Watson
Matt doesnt want to know what he wants to be when he grows up, and now hes in his mid-fifties its time to find out. After forty years of only singing only when hes sure no one can hear him hes started performing in bars around greater Philadelphia area. With piano and voice he offers a simple interpretation of an eclectic mix of covers imbuing them with a fresh sound. He might he even throw in an old fashioned folk song for good measure.
