Wellington rockers Seismic State return to the Underworld Tavern stage, bringing their upbeat blues/funk infused alternative rock for fans young, old, and everything in between.
Joined by fellow locals Underwire and Stretch to Mould, they will perform fan favourites 2 Homes, Blinded By The Sun, and Genius (all available to stream and buy at your favourite platform) as well as new material not yet heard beyond the band’s four members.

In June 2021 they supported Auckland rockers, and Aotearoa Music Award winners, Dead Favours on their Riffing and Yelling tour. This was followed by inclusion in the lineup of Bayrock 2022 alongside legends Head Like a Hole, Stellar*, Zed, and Push Push, however the impact of covid restrictions caused the festival to be cancelled.
2024 was a big year for Seismic State, releasing blues influenced 2 Homes and hard rock banger Blinded By The Sun (which has become their most streamed track). 2025 is building towards even bigger tremors!
Their style mixes rock with elements of blues, funk, progressive and alternative - they combine riff-oriented guitar with melodic basslines and driving drum rhythms forming a foundation for creative vocal melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The result is an accessible and sonically pleasing bland of music not often found in the rock scene.

Hot off the release of their well received debut album 'State Between' Wellington indie band Underwire bring a 'heady brew of catchy sun-kissed ballads with tasty melodies and hard-rocking anthemic sing-alongs' (Muzic.net.nz) once again to Underworld. Forecast for surf-tinged storms!
Stretch to Mould
Stretch to Mould is a rock band from Wellington New Zealand who formed in 2012. Since 2024 the line up has consisted of Darrell Vickers on lead vocals and guitar, Chris Fursdon on bass and Thomas Fuller on drums. Stretch to Mould are known for their high energy, hard hitting riffs, powerful vocals and all-round solid musicianship. Check them out via your favorite streaming platform!
