An unforgettable story told in music that grips you from the first note.
Mendelssohn’s Elijah is one of the great Romantic oratorios. Packed with drama, rich harmonies, and powerful choruses, it tells the story of the prophet Elijah: his triumphs, struggles, and moments of quiet doubt. From fire raining down from the sky to the still small voice in the wilderness, this is music that moves!
Elijah has long been a favourite with choirs and audiences across Aotearoa. This is a rare opportunity to hear it live on the Kāpiti Coast.
Conducted by Eric Sidoti, this full-length performance features soprano Emily-Jane Stockman, alto Charlotte Secker, tenor Jamie Young, bass Joe Haddow, youth soloist Natalie Mower, and organist Jonathan Berkahn.
