To celebrate the release of her new project being pressed onto vinyl Sarvi is lining up to play one very intimate show at Big Fan to close the year. Backed by a stellar live band composed of some of Tāmaki's best musicians and supported by Tom Scott on DJ duties, the night promises to be a beautiful celebration of one of the city's brightest rising stars.
Born to Iranian parents who settled in Aotearoa after the revolution, Sarvi grew up in West Auckland surrounded by the vibrant rhythms of her Persian heritage. Her sound is a fusion of her past and her present. Some might say Sade. Some might say Googoosh. Smooth and soulful without ever being too syrupy, Sarvi is a one of a kind voice that deserves your attention.
