The mastermind who brought the world Dave Dobbyn Wrote Propaganda Songs: Hold Music For Middle New Zealand To Sing Along To prior to the 2014 general election has emerged with another twist on a local classic. Centre Negative, the solo project of Michael McClelland, has released a collection of songs under the title Emotion Is Cringey that includes a brattish cover of Chris Knox's 1993 single 'Under The Influence', apparently eliciting this response from the iconic songwriter.
