Listen: The Situations - Hamburg (UTR Premiere)

South Auckland rock n roll outfit The Situations are sharing new single 'Hamburg' as they get closer to lifting the lid on their long-awaited second album Forever Scene Changes. According to the band, the track had a somewhat cryptic entry to the world - its conception involves the disappearance of singer/guitarist/keyboardist Glen 'Koobs' Casey while the band were on tour in Europe:

"We finished playing a gig in Hamburg and when we got home we realised Koobs had disappeared. He met back up with us the next morning as we were literally about to leave town, he just came walking round the corner. What happened that night remained a mystery to us, until we got back to New Zealand and Koobs introduced his new song 'Hamburg' to us. This song remains the only insight we have into what Koobs got up to that night."

The new record follows on the heels of 2007 debut album Get The Basics, and is slated for release on 23rd September. In the meantime get a load of this...

The Situations are teaming up with the Transistors and The Lowest Fidelity for a four-date tour kicking off later this month, head over here for details.
