Real Groovy Reveals New Shop Location

Real Groovy Reveals New Shop Location

Thursday 3rd December, 2015 9:11AM

Auckland music retailer Real Groovy has found refuge and will take up residence in an old church in the new year. News of the move follows on from the revelation earlier this year that the long-term Queen Street premises of the legendary store was set to be demolished. Real Groovy will be opening its new shop doors just a stone's throw up the road at the former Salvation Army auditorium (pictured below) at 369 Queen Street from Friday 7th January.

The new store will boast two levels of retail to cram in all the CD's, DVD's, records and paraphernalia any culture vulture could hope for. Real Groovy owner Chris Hart says of the move: “We had a good run in the old shop, 25 years, and that time saw a huge amount of change. But we’re really excited about moving: the new shop is something special. I couldn’t imagine a better location or space for Real Groovy”.

The old store at 438 Queen Street will remain open until Sunday January 17th and will be hosting a massive sale.
