Wellington experimental rock duo Into Orbit have unleashed an absolutely epic video to accompany their thundering new track 'Dark Matter'. The video was conceptualised and directed by drummer Ian Moir, who then roped in his pals Max Collett and Paascalino Schallerto to help with filming. The clip, like the song, starts off relatively low-key before launching into a compelling cut that leans on shifts of tension and release.

Guitarist Paul Stewart explains further: "'Dark Matter', for me, is all about relentless rhythm and atmosphere – it builds upon a rhythmic guitar loop created by hitting the guitar strings like a hand drum and this groove is maintained throughout but in different iterations. It has a machine-like quality – the guitar sounds are more sludgy and oppressive than a lot of our material on Caverns – there’s still a sense of build up, of tension and release and drastic shifts in dynamics."

Meanwhile, the viewer is treated to incredible aerial views of the pair playing atop a steep cliff in Titahi Bay which is being bashed by the brutal ocean. Watch the video below, and head over here to download 'Dark Matter'...
