Yumi Zouma Announce Debut Album + Share Single 'Keep It Close To Me'
Yumi Zouma have announced the impending arrival of their debut album Yoncalla and have shared first single 'Keep It Close To Me'. Following on from a string of globally successful EPs, the first full-length album from the group is slated for release on 27th May through Arch Hill Records (as well as Cascine in the US, and Rallye in Japan).
Guitarist Charlie Ryder says the recording process for the album was drastically unlike their earlier releases, wherein each member recorded their own parts from different sides of the planet. “This was the first time we weren’t limited or protected by distance," he says. "With Yoncalla, the process was different, and it can be scary to present raw ideas to your friends ‐ but it’s also incredible to see songs evolve through the sparks of inspiration that bounce between people in the same room.” Take a listen to 'Keep It Close Below"...
Yumi Zouma are undertaking a New Zealand tour with Doprah in May, head over here for more details and to buy tickets.
