Unknown Mortal Orchestra have unveiled their cover of the Grateful Dead's song 'Shakedown Street', lifted from the 1978 album of the same name. The cover comes as part of soon-to-be-released tribute album Day of the Dead, which will encompass an incredible 59 tracks that have been curated by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National.
The epic collection also includes contributions Perfume Genius, Sharon Van Etten, Jim James, Bonnie "Prince" Billy and Charles Bradley and is slated for release on 20th May via 4AD. All proceeds will benefit the Red Hot Organization to help fight HIV/AIDS and related health issues. Take a listen to UMO's contribution below...
