Watch Mini-Doco 'Farewell Great Job!'

Monday 18th July, 2016 11:54AM

Earlier this month Palmerston North DIY venue Great Job! closed its doors with a final blow out show featuring roughly 12 acts including touring Australian act, Terry. The all-ages venue was the brainchild of local musicians Cameron Wilkes (Given Names, Splitting Atoms, Losses), David Stevens (Us As Robots, Losses, Slower Motion) and Harry Lilley (Man In Rug), who opened the space two years ago to help support the city's flourishing music scene - but as life would have it the three are taking a step back to focus on other projects. However, the good folk of The Wireless were there to document Great Job's swansong and talk about the important of DIY all-ages venues in an area like Palmy. Watch the video below..

Featured musicians:

Bottlekidz, Dfresh, Alpha Beta Gamma, Robin,Token Effort, Soda Boyz, Buska Dimes, Terry (Melbourne), Droid Rage, Slower Motion, Researchintospeed

Filmed and edited by Ezra Simons and Gussie Larkin.
