Video: Massive Attack - The Spoils (Feat. Hope Sandoval)

Australian film director John Hillcoat, whose credits include The Road, Lawless and The Proposition has cooked up an eerie new video for Massive Attack's recently released cut 'The Spoils'. The uncomfortably striking clip centres around actress Cate Blanchett, acting as a study of her face and head as it slowly mutates into nothing more than a crude stone figurine. The creeping track, which features vocals from Mazzy Star frontwoman Hope Sandoval, came out earlier this month as part of a two-song release from the pioneering trip hop group.
