The Mockers Announce Nine-Date Reunion Tour

The Mockers Announce Nine-Date Reunion Tour

Thursday 20th October, 2016 9:43AM

After a 30-year pause between drinks, local legends The Mockers are reuniting for a nine-date tour of the country in the new year. Formed at Rongotai College in 1979, the group found their footing with student radio hit 'Murder On Manners Street', and went on to cook up a bunch of songs that would later cement themselves in the NZ music canon, including 'Forever Tuesday Morning', 'One Black Friday', and 'My Girl Thinks She's Cleopatra'.

The January tour will bring together the band's classic line-up of Andrew Fagan (vocals), Brett Adams (guitar), Geoff Hayden (bass) and Tim Wedde (keyboards) - and joining on drums will be Chris O'Connor of The Phoenix Foundation. Here are the tour details...

The Mockers enjoyed three Top 10 albums and six hit singles, and played to huge crowds across the country throughout the 1980s, riding a wave of New Wave pop success with the likes of the Dance Exponents and DD Smash.
