The Mockers Announce Nine-Date Reunion Tour

After a 30-year pause between drinks, local legends The Mockers are reuniting for a nine-date tour of the country in the new year. Formed at Rongotai College in 1979, the group found their footing with student radio hit 'Murder On Manners Street', and went on to cook up a bunch of songs that would later cement themselves in the NZ music canon, including 'Forever Tuesday Morning', 'One Black Friday', and 'My Girl Thinks She's Cleopatra'.

The January tour will bring together the band's classic line-up of Andrew Fagan (vocals), Brett Adams (guitar), Geoff Hayden (bass) and Tim Wedde (keyboards) - and joining on drums will be Chris O'Connor of The Phoenix Foundation. Here are the tour details...

THE MOCKERS REUNITE AFTER 30 YEARS FOR NEW ZEALAND TOUR

Kiwi legends The Mockers are reforming their classic line-up for their first New Zealand tour in 30 years, with nine shows from January 19-29, 2017.

Fans can look forward to The Mockers performing classic hits like Forever Tuesday Morning, Swear It’s True, One Black Friday, My Girl Thinks She’s Cleopatra, Shield Yourself, and many many more.

Joining forces for the Mockers reunion are NZ-based Andrew Fagan (vocals), Brett Adams (guitar), plus Geoff Hayden (bass) - travelling from London, and keyboard maestro - Australian-based Tim Wedde.

Special guests for all North Island shows are three-piece electro-popsters Delete Delete – featuring members of stellar* and elemeno p.

The Mockers enjoyed three Top 10 albums and six hit singles, and played to huge crowds across the country throughout the 1980s, riding a wave of New Wave pop success with the likes of the Dance Exponents and DD Smash.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Midday Tuesday, October 25, for all shows
