Video: Yoko-Zuna - January Sun
Eclectic Auckland electro troupe Yoko-Zuna have revealed a new video for their timely track ‘January Sun’. The video is a sequel to their 2014 track ‘This Place Here’ and is reminiscent of a psychedelic version of Miami Vice, with rainbow polygons and 8-bit palm trees wafting through space behind the band. The clip was directed by drummer Swap Gomez, with buzzy visual effects and animation cooked up by Corey Fleming.
“We recorded the track and had the video complete in less than 3 weeks. It was a crazy quick project but we’ve been playing this in our live set all year so we knew exactly how we wanted it to look and sound,” said engineer/producer Cam Duncan of the prompt assembly of the tune and accompanying visual.
