Listen/Watch: Xiu Xiu - Get Up

Experimental, art-rock group Xiu Xiu have unveiled a new single and accompanying video in the form of heart-string-strumming tune 'Get Up'. The song itself is melancholically mesmerising with coy, understated verse vocals contrasted by occasional stabs of reverb-drenched punch lines and elongated synth notes.

Similarly the video depicts a disenfranchised young lady lighting a Molotov cocktail, drinking liquor and hitchhiking to “anywhere but here”. Lay your eyes and ears on the new clip and song below…

Get Up is the second single from Xiu Xiu’s forthcoming album FORGET, out 24th February.
