Cross-Continental Goth Group Without Lungs Share Dance Odyssey 'Burn'

Well-known New Zealand punk/hardcore aficionado Cash Black, who you may recognise from The Wrongmen and Love Mess, has let loose a new collaboration with Philadelphia-based artist Dave Buschemeyer of New Day Rising and Spread The Disease. Speaking to UTR, Cash elaborated on the project’s formation and creative process:

"Dave and I basically came up in the same music scene which was the 90s hardcore punk scene, only on different continents for most of the time. I did See David’s band New Day Rising a couple of times in my many pilgrimages to America to see bands in the mid 90s. Dave created all the music and posted that he had been looking for someone to do vocals. I got in touch and sent him a link to my old band Black Tuesday. He was keen to see what I could do on these songs he had made and sent me four tracks. I picked three and laid down vocals and then he mixed and mastered them. It came together very easily."

Featured tune 'Burn' is taken from the three-song Simpler Times EP and is 80s inspired, synth-heavy goth/industrial goodness with the classic Ian Curtis-esque delivery of closing refrain ‘burnt by the sun’, making it befitting of rainy day dreariness. Check it out below…
