Mac DeMarco Lets Loose Self-Directed Video For 'This Old Dog'
As he bounds closer to the release of new record This Old Dog, Canadian-born musician Mac DeMarco has let loose a self-directed clip for the album's laid back title track. We've already noted Mac's love of masks (remember the clip for 'Chamber Of Reflection' anyone??), but instead of Homer Simpson wandering the streets of New York, this clip features a couple of pals in obscene plastic doggy masks chilling in LA's Chinatown. Elaborating on the video's conception, DeMarco wrote:
"A devoted dog discovers the meaning of its own existence through the lives of the humans it teaches to laugh and love. Reincarnated as multiple canines over the course of five decades, the lovable pooch develops an unbreakable bond with a kindred spirit named Ethan. As the boy grows older and comes to a crossroad, the dog once again comes back into his life to remind him of his true self."

In other DeMarco-related news, the artist also popped up in the trailer for Off The Record, a "behind the scenes" mockumentary about Australian treasure Kirin J Callinan which also features appearances from Mark Ronson, Jack Black, Liam Finn and more...
This Old Dog is out 5th May via Captured Tracks
