Auckland Trio Civil Union Share New Song 'I Burnt My Hand In Your Hair'
With the imminent departure of bassist Perry Mahoney on the cards, Auckland downer punks Civil Union are set to play their (possibly) last show ever this week and in anticipation have shared new single 'I Burnt My Hand In Your Hair'. The stand-alone cut was recorded by Joshua Lynn (Trust Punks, Girls Pissing On Girls Pissing) and then handed to Lawrence Goodwin (Cheats, The Pleasure Majenta) for mastering. Take a listen below...
Lyrics:
Put pressure on your optic nerve
'Til you see his light, vision and word
Let it envelope you, tear down and develop you
All that i want for you to do now is
Lay it on the ground
I burnt my hand in your hair
And this brand on my palm isn't going anywhere
My heart's become a hot air balloon
Deflating in the sky just to fall back to you
Lay it on the ground
Civil Union are playing their last show (maybe) this Thursday 13th April at the Whammy Backroom with support from File Folder and DJs. Head over here for more information.
