
Have A Hoon On 'Hooch' From Newly-Formed Auckland Outfit Ounce

Earlier this week we stumbled on 'Hooch' from recently formed Auckland group Ounce, and we dug it so much we reached out to learn a little more. Bringing together Callum Rooney, Yves Yang, Fi Browne, Kieran Ruffles and Tony Pike (some of whom you may recognise from local acts X-Ray Fiends and Shoutin' Preachin'), the band utilise two sets of drums, baritone guitar, bass and percussion to cook up a sound that walks the lines between Kraut, stoner rock and spaghetti Western. 'Hooch' has been brewed up as a sort of demo as the five-piece work towards putting out an EP in the next couple of months, so have a hoon on it below...
