Thursday 18th May, 2017 10:55AM

South Auckland-born group The Situations have gone global with their new video for 'PCY's Everlasting Journey', the final single lifted from their brilliant 2015 record Forever Scene Changes. The clip pulls together footage shot in all corners of the planet by Shanghai-based Situations bassist/vocalist Samuel Pepi Kett, as well as footage captured by friends James Harding (Best Bets, Transistors), and Molly Fox. Elaborating on how the clip together, Sam told UTR:

“I started by gathering a range of footage that I filmed with my dodgy factory seconds iPhone 4 in various locations. I also got some footage from James Harding, and Molly Fox. Locations in the video include Muscat, Wahiba and Jebel Akhdar in Oman, YuyuanGardens in Shanghai. Tongli in Suzhou. Waitangi, Auckland, Manurewa and Clarks Beach in New Zealand. Paris and Brittany in France. Kandy in Sri Lanka. Riga in Latvia. Dubai in the UAE, Porto in Portugal and the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco……..I then put it all together on a 2009 version of iMovie which was an intriguing exercise.”

Watch the video below, and keep your eyes peeled for more from The Situations in the near future as rumour has it the group have a new record set for release in July....
