Fans of early 2000s electro-punk were treated to a rave reminiscent of scene from British television series Skins at the Powerstation last night. Doused in strobe lights, Crystal Castles spilled boogie-inciting bangers through the sizeable sound system, while recently recruited frontwoman Edith Frances owned the stage like a lady possessed and did a fine job of filling the sizeable shoes of original vocalist Alice Glass. The madness hurled forward from the Ethan Kath’s synthesizer and samplers were complimented superbly by Christopher Chatrand’s live drumming. We sent lens master Connor Crawford along to capture the visuals of the waves of sonic ecstasy that wafted through the dance floor, check out his fantastic shots below…
