Idiosyncratic Icelandic post-rock crew Sigur Rós are renowned for their texturally dense, dramatic and cinematic compositions. It's very fitting then, that their recent appearance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall was accompanied by the Los Angeles Philharmonic – a group The New York Times described as “the most important orchestra in America”. The stand-out performance featured unique arrangements of songs from the Sigur Rós back catalogue by several composers including Anna Meredith, Daniel Bjarnason and Dan Deacon.
