Mogwai Unveil Sublime Video For 'Coolverine'

After announcing the imminent arrival of their ninth studio and sharing lead single 'Coolverine' last month, Scottish prog-rock purveyors Mogwai have let loose a video for the spacious instrumental. The clip was created by the sibling directorial duo Hand Held Cine Club, and is a gorgeous montage of slo-mo black and white footage that works in reverse to illustrate both the mundane and unsettling in a unique way. Talking to the clip's over-arching theme, bandmember Stuart Braithwaite told Dazed:

“Fuck knows what’s happening! I just love the mad faces of all these people they know. They make all their videos in Doncaster – you’d think it was in LA, wouldn’t you?”

The new album, Every Country's Sun, is out 1st September. In the meantime soak up the video below...
