
Stream 'A Pleasant Climb For Some' From Wellington Artist Courtesy Caller
You may be familiar with multi-instrumentalist Ben Lemi from one of his multiple musical ventures, including playing with the likes of Upper Hutt Posse, Trinity Roots and more recently French For Rabbits. Now he has released a swathe of songs under the name Courtesy Caller, which are collectively titled A Pleasant Climb For Some. As the title somewhat eludes, the six-song offering is a textural sonic journey with beautiful dips and dives and a menagerie of intriguing instrumentation. In the artist's own words:
"A series of aural conglomerations to aid the process of tupperware sterilisation, flannel sheet folding (not excluding tucking), and to assist the flow of topical debate during the intestinal phase of meal digestion."
