
The Sword Guitarist Shares Pink Floyd Tribute Album 'Doom Side Of The Moon'
Kyle Shutt, who you may recognise as the guitarist for Austin-based stoner rock band The Sword, has dropped a doom tribute to the classic Pink Floyd album The Dark Side Of The Moon. Though this isn’t the first time the classic release has received the genre-switching treatment, this particular homage features contributions from Santiago Vela III and Bryan Richie, who also play in The Sword with Shutt, Alex Marrero of Brownout, Jason Frey of Hard Proof and Joe Cornetti of Croy & The Boys.
To cap it all off, the album is accompanied by a bizarre visualiser, which is a simulation of the immersive light show the band is using at their one-off live performance of the album in Austin. The show is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the release Pink Floyd’s debut The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn. Check the album out below…
