Premiere: Silicon Remixes Bic Runga's 'Drive'

Silver Scroll nominee Bic Runga has released a new remix of her famous ballad 'Drive' by frequent partner-in-crime Silicon (Kody Nielson) in advance of her upcoming 'Drive' 20th Anniversary Tour!! A complete cybernetic remodel of the classic track, Silicon takes the song on the road adding vocoder vocals and Kraftwerk-style electronics while still retaining the gentle soulfulness of the original tune. The remix follows on from last year's album Close Your Eyes, you can catch the artist on tour around New Zealand this coming October.

Bic Runga shared a few words on the remix: "It's been fun to hear 'Drive' re-imagined in 2017, a song that was only ever released as an acoustic demo 20 years ago. This remix by Silicon makes me think of self driving cars and sad lovesick robots."
