Stream 'Computer Man' From Dunedin Instrumental Duo Triumphs
Stellar groove-peddling two-piece Triumphs have shared their second full-length offering Computer Man. The hour long album is rife with sludgy stoner grooves and spacey, delay-ladden sections with accompanying artwork supplied by the surreal Sam Ovens. Tracks such as 'The Empire Never Ended' evoke images of mid-era Mastodon with fascinatingly effected guitars and the excellent 'Ditch Witch' featured on a recent compilation/zine from Muzai records along with Dharma Dogs, Tidal Rave and Super Narco Man. The band shared a few insights into the opus via their Facebook page:
"It's not a concept album, but definitely tries to deal with some heavy topics (grief, love, anxiety, friendship, loneliness, redemption) in our own Triumphs-y way after an 'interesting' couple of years between albums in our personal lives."
