Spook The Horses Share Single 'Lurch' + Announce National Tour

Thursday 5th October, 2017 1:17PM

Wellingtonian six-piece Spook The Horses have lifted the lid on ‘Lurch’, the first single from upcoming album People Use To Live Here. The haunting track is accompanied by a surreal music video that shows the figure of a lady gradually contorting, seemingly shifting in and out of reality. The album will be the band's third and is set for release on Friday 10th November on Pelagic Records. Band member Callum Gay mused on the creative direction of their latest offering…

“We deliberately isolated ourselves when writing this album to force us out of our comfort zones. Most of the songs began as completely improvised pieces that we slowly fleshed and developed over time. We wanted to make sure that immediacy was captured and conveyed in a way we’d never done before. There’s much less between us and the listener this time around.”

In support of People Used To Live Here, the band has also announced three shows around New Zealand in November.
