Wellington's Faber Drops Video for 'Waterfall'
Wellington experimental hip hop artist Faber (from the Pastel Collective) has dropped a short new video for recent single 'Waterfall' in collaboration with artist / musician George Turner. The DIY production, auto tuned raps and full-bleed colour scheme channels a digital noir sensibility in tune with Turner's work with Wellington rapper Avito. Turner has been a workhorse of late, recently releasing avant-pop three song Designer EP, here's what they had to say about the new clip...
"It was inspired by a short film by my favourite Australian artist, Tracey Moffatt. I love her use of slow shots and her colour palettes. Most of my videos I make for myself or other artists follow a similar aesthetic so the process is quick and always enjoyable. Recently I have been trying to incorporate more of a story into the video and focus less on the artist performing. This will be my sixth visual release this year for another artist."
