Live Photos: Me First and The Gimmie Gimmies - San Fran, Wellington

It would be hard to justify referring to Me First and The Gimmie Gimmies as anything other then a supergroup. The quintet features members of seminal punk groups Lagwagon, Bad Religion, Frenzal Rhomb and Uke Hunt and deals exclusively in covers. The San Francisco-based group sold out both their New Zealand shows, with fans packing out the appropriately named San Fran in Wellington. The capital city show was opened up by Christchurch-based power pop trio Nervous Jerk and Wellingtonian surf-influenced psychobillys Tigers of the Sea.
