Melbourne-via-Hamilton producer Ryan Bennett was last heard recording under the name of Wywy Brix on his influential avant-dance 2015 album Clear Licorice (1080p), and previously graced New Zealand stages as drums/electronics dynamo Cartoon. Now using the aforementioned album title as his solo moniker, Clear Liquorice has squeezed out eleven squinky tracks of busted synth melodies and churning groove worship.
