Legendary sound explorers Brian Eno and Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) have released an immersive new instrumental track ‘Only Once Away My Son’ as part of Adult Swim’s ongoing Singles Program. The track is a deep dive into swirling electronic soundscapes, it starts ominously with pounding drums then gathers density and momentum before fading out into gentle, tranquil bell sounds. Both artists have been busy of late, Eno released a new ambient album Reflection earlier this year and Shields is working away on an upcoming My Bloody Valentine album scheduled for 2018.
