Russian provocateurs Pussy Riot have released an uncompromising video for new single ‘Police State’ starring US actor Chloë Sevigny as an aggressive officer of the law. The clip features violent scenes of police attacking actors wearing the group’s iconic candy-coloured face masks, while children are brainwashed by Trump and Putin imagery in the style of A Clockwork Orange. The track's upbeat pop production belies the group’s subversive intentions, with lyrics alluding to state surveillance and propaganda, encouraging listeners to be sceptical of government proclamations.
