Fatima Al Qadiri Drops Sensuous Video 'Spiral'

Brooklyn-via-Kuwait dance producer and conceptual artist Fatima Al Qadiri (of Future Brown) has shared a video for ‘Spiral’ from her Shaneera EP, which was recently released via Hyperdub. A collaboration between the artist and director Sophia Al-Maria, the clip is inspired by a famous belly-dancing moment in Egyptian comedy film Ayazon, which went viral and is now associated with defiant body positivity in Arabian queer culture. The video shows dancers Zadiel Samsaz and Eli El Sultan in sensuous motion set against Fatima Al Qadiri's booming club-oriented sounds, watch it below…
