Watch The White Stripes Play At Freeman's Bay Primary School

Wednesday 22nd November, 2017 9:57AM

US rock duo The White Stripes are well known for their visits to New Zealand in their early years before they well and truly blew up, famously even playing at an Auckland pizza restaurant back in 2000. The currently dormant group have shared footage of their performance of ‘We’re Going To be Friends’ to a well behaved audience of kids at Freeman’s Bay Primary School in 2003, as a follow up to the launch of Jack White’s new children’s book of the same name. The footage was previously only available on the group's The White Stripes Under New Zealand Lights Live DVD, it’s a cute and catchy snapshot of the duo at the height of their powers. Check out the clip below…

Jack White's new children's book 'We're Going To Be Friends' is out now via Third Man Books.
