Beloved alt-pop superstars The Shins returned to Auckland’s Powerstation last night after ten long years to perform to a rapt audience of fans. The US group played a sparkling selection of songs old and new, opening with ‘Caring Is Creepy’ from debut record Oh, Inverted World, and running through a number of tunes from recent albums Heartworms and Port Of Morrow. A highlight of the evening included the group having a crack at AC/DC’s 'Highway To Hell', in tribute to the Australian rock band's recently departed guitarist Malcolm Young.
