Watch Elan Vital's Sparkling Video 'Dreams'

Dunedin cold-wave trio Élan Vital have shared a video for their single 'Dreams', taken from their excellent recent album Shadow Self. The psychedelic clip by Erica Sklenars (aka Lady Lazer Light) features the group boogieing down against a trippy backdrop while one member wears a sparkling horse mask design made famous by a local drug bust, where thirty five kilograms of cocaine was seized being smuggled into New Zealand inside a diamanté horse head sculpture in 2016. The catchy tune's intoning vocals and droning organ sounds recall New York electronic crooners Suicide and fellow rhythmic Dunedin-ites Snapper, and was featured in our 2017 End Of Year Playlist.
