Mount Eerie Shares Reflective Single 'Distortion'
The latest album from US songwriter Mount Eerie (aka Phil Elverum), A Crow Looked At Me, was a heartbreaking account of the artist's grief after the death of his wife Geneviève Castrée from cancer in 2016. Elverum has now announced a new long-player titled Now Only set to drop this March, and has shared lead single 'Distortion'. The tune is a wistful and thought-provoking eleven minute reflection on significant moments from Elverum's life, with the slow-building intensity of the track taking on mantra-like qualities. If you were lucky enough to nab tickets you can catch Mount Eerie playing this Friday at Auckland's Academy Cinemas, listen to 'Distortion' below...
Mount Eerie's forthcoming album 'Now Only' is out Friday 16th March via P.W. Elverum & Sun.
