St. Vincent Covers Rihanna's 'Consideration'

It was hard not to hear the idiosyncratic stylings American indie rock/alt-pop matriarch St. Vincent last year, with her fifth full-length MASSEDUCTION being played and promoted seemingly everywhere. The songsmith recently visited the Spotify studios in New York to perform a cover of Rihanna’s SZA-featuring track ‘Consideration’, as well as her hit tune ‘Los Ageless’. The reworked cover is a wonderful balance of homage to Ri Ri in the slick vocal flow, as well as St Vincent’s own stylisation of the tune with the bass lines having a fuzzy, resonant character to them.
