
Mavis Staples Unveils Video 'If All I Was Was Black'

Legendary soul and R&B singer Mavis Staples (of The Staple Singers) released her acclaimed sixteenth studio album If All I Was Was Black last year in collaboration with Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco), who co-wrote and produced the record. She's now shared a powerful video directed by Zac Manuel for the album's moving title title track, which features Staples sitting in a diner booth and gazing out the window at a newly erected monument to change. On her latest record the singer said "(It) bring us all together as a people. That's what I hope to do. You can't stop me. You can't break me. I'm too loving. These songs are going to change the world." Watch the video below...
