Live Photos: King Brothers, The Vottones, Levitating Churches, Magic Factory - Whammy Bar, Auckland
Japan's King Brothers made their mighty return to Auckland on Friday, tearing Whammy Bar a new one alongside fellow countrymen The Vottones, local pals Magic Factory and Australian psychedelic rockers Levitating Churches. In the sweatiest conditions imaginable the sharply dressed Japanese headliners belted out their super-high-energy punk rock for a totally rapt crowd, if you like guitarists shredding while crowd surfing upside-down then this was the show for you. The Vottones didn't disappoint either, at one point executing their signature 'extreme wedgie' move (see below) to the delight of all. Both bands proceeded to bust heads at Tauranga's final ever Woodcock Festival on Saturday and will continue their trail of destruction over the coming week. Catch them while you can and check out Connor Crawford's jaw-dropping snaps of Friday's madness...
