Auckland's Sick Old Man Unleash Riotous Tune 'Plaga Medicus'

Wednesday 28th February, 2018 10:06AM

Auckland crusty d-beat crew Sick Old Man have dropped a fresh slice of raw and riotous punk rock, titled ‘Plagus Medicus’. The track comes courtesy of Auckland-based tape label Hairy Palm and appears on their forthcoming compilation Volume 2, a collection of “New Zealand punk, hardcore, noise, sludge and industrial." The compendium will also see contributions from rawcore Wellington crew Corpse Rat, post-hardcore mavericks Long Distance Runner, spooky industrial new-comers Ave Teth and enigmatic “dumb beat” figure NOXO.

Artwork for the anthology was fielded by the incomparable Ahnand Unka (who you may recognise from hardcore crew Slavedriver). The tapes will be officially released this weekend at the Full Noise punk festival at Grey Lynn library hall. Check out ‘Plagus Medicus’ below...
