David Byrne Shares First Solo Album In Fourteen Years 'American Utopia'
After much teasing, ex-Talking Heads singer David Byrne has unveiled his first solo album in fourteen years American Utopia, gathering together ten tunes which gaze through the artist's magnifying glass at the concept of utopianism in US culture. Byrne has achieved a lot in the downtime between the new record and 2004's solo album Grown Backwards, including publishing his popular and highly quotable 2012 book How Music Works, full length collaborations with St. Vincent and Brian Eno, and more. Always pushing forward, Byrne's latest record features a raft of special guests including Oneohtrix Point Never, Jam City, Doveman and Jack Peñate.
