Live Photos: Aldous Harding and Perfume Genius - Silo Park, Auckland
Seattle pop auteur Perfume Genius (Mike Hadreas) brought his vibrant art-pop songs and lithe dance moves to Auckland's Silo Park last Thursday, for a special co-headline show alongside Lyttelton songwriting titan Aldous Harding as part of the the Auckland Arts Festival. The event kicked off with Perfume Genius, local punters were treated to an selection of songs from his recent albums No Shape and Too Bright, and he was joined by sometime-collaborator Harding for a couple of tunes. As expected Harding's set thrilled the crowd, the artist's spellbinding and cathartic stage presence elevating the sublime sounds of her 2017 album Party even further. It was beautiful warm early Autumn evening in the outdoor venue, which featured none of the pouring rain which dampened King Krule's show there three days earlier. Check out photographic wizard Connor Crawford's snaps of the show...
