Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith Shares Meditative Single 'Abstractions' + Video

Los Angeles-based electronic artist Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith has unveiled an immersive twenty two minute instrumental single titled 'Abstractions', the debut release from her newly launched multidisciplinary label Touchtheplants. The long-form tune follows on from Smith's acclaimed recent album The Kid and collaborations with synthesiser pioneer Suzanne Ciani, listeners are invited to bathe in an analogue bubblebath of pulsing bass, warm strings, and purring synths. It's the first contribution to the label's Electronic Series, an "annual offering consisting of a musical recording and a short comic about two friends – a plant and a human being – having an existential conversation."
