Gig-goers should expect amazingly stylish outfits and high-gloss, floor-filling tunes, here's the details below...

Press-release:

Bristling with dark energy, pure pop sensibilities and new wave synergy, Manchester’s PALE WAVES make their debut appearance in Australia and New Zealand this July.

Fresh from confirming themselves as the band to watch at this years’ SXSW Festival, the indie-goth four piece have announced a run of shows off the back of hugely popular singles ‘There’s A Honey’, ‘Television Romance’, and the recently released ALL THE THINGS I NEVER SAID EP, containing current single ‘Heavenly’.

Forged in an unbreakable partnership between vocalist Heather Baron-Gracie and drummer Ciara Doran, Pale Waves make no secret of their love of 80’s pop stalwarts The Cure and Prince and celebrate a desire for their guitar-pop to accompany both bad moods and dance grooves. “I want to make people dance at our shows and not kinda just cry,” Baron-Gracie recently explained. “They can cry and dance.”

The addictive, floor filling nature of tracks like ‘There’s A Honey’ and ‘The Tide’ prove that these mysterious Mancs owe as much to the fluorescent pop of contemporaries Carly Rae Jepsen and Taylor Swift as they do to ancestors Tears For Fears and Simple Minds.

For their debut trip to this side of the planet, Pale Waves will be taking in several venues on the East Coast and in Auckland, making sure to accommodate their rapidly growing fan base with all ages shows in every city.
