Listen To Ave Teth's Hypnotic Debut 'MMXVIII'

Auckland-based experimental industrial band Ave Teth have shared their first offering to the world, the ethereal four song collection MMXVIII. The band, made up of Aonghas D, Joshua Greene, Paul Blanchard and Alex KB, cite Coil, Skeptics, Swans and Einstürzende Neubauten as influences, the sonic impressions of each are clearly recognisable within MMXVIII.  The quartet offered some insight into how they craft their tunes...

“Our writing methods are very communal, preferring to improvise and let ideas seed from collaboration, when we feel a type of transcendence due to what we are creating, we know that we are heading down the correct path. The difficulty comes afterward in trying to sculpt these communions into songs with structure and not lose the emotional weight.”
