Keepsakes Shares Intense Track 'Populist P*ss Pot'
Ex-Auckland techno producer Keepsakes (aka James Barrett) may have flown the coop for Berlin's supportive electronic dance scene but we can still experience the artist's intense club-focussed sounds via his label Haven, run in collaboration with partner Jaded Nineties Raver. Barrett follows his sublime recent Perspectives From A Sterile Hellhole 12" with a split EP featuring Keepsakes and Italian producer Ayarcana titled Music For The Vitriolic Age, and has shared an unsettling, nerve-rattling single titled 'Populist Piss Pot' as a teaser for that imminent four track collection. The tune ratchets up tension continuously, the artist describes it best as featuring a "screeching Transylvanian synth line, thumping drums, and creepy atmosphere," which sounds like a perfect accompaniment for either too many coffees and / or a solid night out. Listen up below...
'Music For The Vitriolic Age' is out on limited edition vinyl from Friday 8th June via Haven.
